Regular/Senior Mechanical Engineer (R&D / Automotive)

Location: Liszki, near Krakow, Poland; willingness to travel up to 40% within Poland and Europe depending on the project stage.

What you will do

• Design and develop test bench components, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and HVAC systems using P&ID documentation, 3D modeling, and 2D drawings.
• Coordinate manufacturing of designed components with technicians and specify required components with suppliers.
• Visit customer sites for equipment installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors working at customer sites.
• Verify designed solutions against final implementation and participate in assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning at FEV and customer facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation and Robotics, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Good knowledge of mechanics and strength of materials, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in machine design and preparation of technical documentation, including GD&T where applicable.
• Knowledge of the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience designing pneumatic and hydraulic systems and preparing, reading, and interpreting P&ID documentation.
• Hands-on experience with equipment installation and commissioning.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% within Poland and Europe.
