Senior IT Systems Engineer I (AWS/Azure)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's global headquarters in Long Beach, California, United States; occasional travel may be required.

Salary: $108,000–$140,000 USD base pay per year.

What you will do

• Implement, administer, operate, and support enterprise platform and operating system environments.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and deliver infrastructure projects as a subject matter expert.
• Lead infrastructure project planning, deployment, upgrades, migrations, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Create, test, and distribute operating systems, application packages, scripts, and batch programs through enterprise SCCM.
• Build and maintain automation for software delivery, operating system deployment, and configuration management.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and perform site-specific risk mitigation during system changes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience plus a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience with a high school diploma or GED and 9+ total years of experience.
• In-depth Windows Server administration knowledge, including Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI certificate management, DNS, or DHCP.
• Experience with AWS and/or enterprise O365 and Azure environments.
• Experience with one or more of Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, configuration management, automation, or infrastructure as code.
• Experience with one or more of server and storage hardware, backups, NetApp, Pure Storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, or VOIP phone systems.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.

Nice to have

• Specialist qualification in AWS, Azure, Microsoft, or another area of expertise.
• Juniper or Cisco network switching, IPSEC, SSL VPNs, or firewalls.
• Security frameworks or technologies such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, CMMC, or CUI.
• Fortinet firewall setup, configuration, and management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
