Cloud Network Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Location: Remote; U.S. work authorization required through U.S. citizenship, Green Card, EAD, or H-1B transfer eligibility.

Salary: $115,000–$165,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, provision, configure, and operate cloud and infrastructure components using approved architecture patterns.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
• Implement security, identity, networking, backup, monitoring, and availability controls.
• Investigate incidents, capacity issues, vulnerabilities, and performance problems.
• Maintain runbooks, diagrams, standards, and change records while collaborating across engineering and operations.

Requirements

• Typically 4+ years of related professional experience; the approved requisition threshold must be followed. The position listing also specifies 10+ years of experience.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, AWS VPC or Azure VNet, and network security.
• Professional experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or systems operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of relevant cloud, operating-system, container, or automation technologies.
• Understanding of networking, identity, security, monitoring, and availability fundamentals.
• Experience with scripting, automation, source control, or infrastructure as code.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues methodically.
• Strong documentation and cross-team collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Additional hands-on depth in TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, AWS VPC or Azure VNet, and network security.
• Experience with cloud services, automation, and modern delivery practices.
• Familiarity with secure development, accessibility, governance, or regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Relevant professional certifications or advanced training in the technology area.
