Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $115,000–$165,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, provision, configure, and operate cloud and infrastructure components using approved architecture patterns.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
• Implement security, identity, networking, backup, monitoring, and availability controls.
• Investigate incidents, capacity issues, vulnerabilities, and performance problems.
• Maintain runbooks, diagrams, standards, and change records while collaborating across engineering and operations.

Requirements

• Direct W2 employment; C2C and 1099 arrangements are not accepted.
• U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or H-1B transfer candidates may apply; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.
• Experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or systems operations relevant to the role; the posting states 10+ years of experience, while the qualifications section references typically 4+ years in a related professional role.
• Practical experience with the primary programming language and framework, APIs, SQL, testing, Git, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on knowledge of relevant cloud, operating-system, container, or automation technologies.
• Understanding of networking, identity, security, monitoring, and availability fundamentals.
• Experience with scripting, automation, source control, or infrastructure as code.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues methodically, with strong documentation and cross-team collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Additional hands-on depth in the primary programming language and framework, APIs, SQL, testing, Git, and CI/CD.
• Experience with cloud services, automation, and modern delivery practices.
• Familiarity with secure development, accessibility, governance, or regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Relevant professional certifications or advanced training in the technology area.
