Network Engineer, Senior (AWS/GCP)

What you will do

• Operate and improve enterprise and data-center networks, including Cisco switching, Fortinet firewalls, routing, segmentation, ISP/WAN connectivity, VPNs, and remote access.
• Monitor network availability, performance, and capacity; troubleshoot outages and complex traffic flows using telemetry, logs, packet captures, tracing, and protocol analysis.
• Support F5 BIG-IP application delivery, AWS and GCP networking, Cloudflare, DNS, load balancers, and traffic delivery between data centers and cloud services.
• Maintain resilient services through high-availability design, redundant ISP connectivity, SD-WAN, monitoring, backups, and out-of-band recovery.
• Implement controlled upgrades, configuration changes, and migrations; participate in incident response, failover activities, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintain network documentation and inventories, coordinate with providers and data-center remote hands, and partner with Security on hardening, vulnerability remediation, PCI/SOX controls, and on-call support.

Requirements

• Hands-on production experience supporting enterprise or data-center networks.
• Strong TCP/IP, subnetting, VLAN, switching, routing, and DNS fundamentals.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls and Cisco or comparable switching platforms; understanding of VPNs, NAT, access controls, BGP, static routing, and high-availability concepts.
• Practical troubleshooting experience with network-device CLIs, monitoring tools, logs, packet captures, and root-cause analysis.
• Careful change execution, clear documentation, effective incident communication, and attention to availability and security.
• Ability to collaborate across infrastructure, security, and application teams and communicate technical findings clearly.

Nice to have

• Fortinet experience with FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, or FortiAuthenticator; Cisco Nexus/vPC/fabric networking; or F5 BIG-IP LTM, WAF, and APM.
• AWS/GCP networking, Route 53 DNS and health checks, Cloudflare, load balancers, and traffic steering.
• Infrastructure monitoring, configuration backup, inventory, and recovery tools such as OpsRamp, Unimus, Device42, or out-of-band console systems.
• Experience with highly available payment or other regulated services, and CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet, or F5 certifications.
