Lead Cloud Network Engineer

What you will do

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize secure cloud and hybrid networking architectures across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and multi-cloud environments.
• Implement virtual networks, subnets, load balancers, DNS, VPN gateways, dedicated connectivity, cloud firewalls, DDoS protection, and other network security controls.
• Automate cloud network provisioning and lifecycle management using Infrastructure-as-Code technologies, including Terraform.
• Support architecture reviews, migrations, upgrades, testing, capacity planning, disaster recovery, compliance, and operational readiness activities.
• Troubleshoot incidents and performance issues using monitoring platforms, logs, packet captures, and tools such as Wireshark; maintain technical documentation and coordinate vendors.
• Mentor less experienced engineers, review designs and changes, and promote cloud networking, security, risk, and regulatory standards including NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and FFIEC guidance.

Requirements

• At least 8 combined years of higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture.
• At least 3 years of professional experience supporting, implementing, and optimizing cloud or hybrid networking in a complex enterprise environment.
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing public cloud networking services in Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
• Experience implementing and maintaining hybrid networking with VPNs, dedicated private connectivity, and cloud-native networking technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies, including Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, DNS, VPN technologies, NAT, load balancing, and network security principles.
• Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, organizational, and independent-working skills.
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and supportable solutions and to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to understand interactions between cloud networking, enterprise infrastructure, security services, and application platforms, and to adapt to evolving technologies.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Advanced Networking–Specialty, or similar certification.
• Experience with Aviatrix and cloud-native automation technologies such as Azure Resource Manager, AWS CloudFormation, and/or Ansible.
• Advanced expertise in cloud-native networking, cloud security controls, governance, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Experience analyzing packet captures and troubleshooting complex connectivity and performance issues with Wireshark.
