Location: Boston, MA, US; remote designation with hybrid attendance required 2–3 days onsite per week

What you will do

• Collaborate with medical researchers and statisticians on population science, outcomes, policy, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness research.
• Support projects from study design through manuscript preparation and submission to peer-reviewed journals.
• Lead statistical study design, including test and model selection, sample-size calculations, significance levels, and statistical power.
• Perform data manipulation and statistical analyses using standard statistical packages; prepare methods, results, tables, and figures.
• Organize project data files and analysis code so results remain reproducible and transferable to other statisticians.
• Support grant preparation and potentially develop or test statistical software for novel statistical techniques.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Statistics or Biostatistics required for Statistician I.
• Formal training in statistical methodology, coding, data analysis, and effective presentation of results.
• Proficiency in statistical software such as R or SAS.
• Understanding of data wrangling and reproducible research principles.
• Ability to perform specified analysis methods and assess their underlying assumptions.
• Ability to discuss and present results and communicate ideas accurately in writing and verbally.
