Biostatistical Programming Manager (SAS/R)

Salary: $129,056.35–$174,605.65 annually

What you will do

• Lead an FSP-based programming team conducting analyses for the CfOR Data & Analytic Center.
• Set goals with epidemiologists, define delivery strategies, prioritize workflows, and coordinate with functional leads and FSP partners.
• Write, test, and validate programs, macros, utilities, analysis datasets, and programming plans using SAS, Databricks, or R.
• Ensure biomedical data analyses and presentations are accurate, complete, timely, and compliant with hirify.global policies and SOPs.
• Review and approve study-related documents, including statistical analysis plans and data management plans.
• Represent programming in multidisciplinary meetings, improve programming processes, and support and mentor junior programmers.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree plus 2 years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, or an associate’s degree plus 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 10 years of experience.
• Programming experience with SAS, R, SQL, Python, or other procedural languages.
• Understanding of computer operating systems, including AWS, Databricks, and UNIX.
• Technical excellence, leadership, innovation, project management, teamwork, problem solving, attention to detail, and oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or another subject with high statistical content.
• Vendor relationship management or experience with functional service providers.
• Experience with real-world healthcare databases such as MarketScan, Optum, Komodo, Medicare, and EMR databases.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Database programming using SQL.
• At least five years of SAS programming experience.
• Experience with advanced statistical methods, including survival and regression analysis.
