Content Producer (Broadcast and Digital Media)

Location: Full-time onsite at an hirify.global-designated worksite in West Hartford, Connecticut, United States; flexible availability for any shift, including holidays and weekends, within a 24x7 schedule.

Salary: $55,000–$70,000 per year.

What you will do

• Produce, write, and edit news segments for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Create engaging newscasts through headline showcasing, storytelling, and editorial decisions.
• Collaborate with journalists and contribute story ideas aligned with the NBC Connecticut News Strategy.
• Participate actively in the editorial process and stay connected to local Connecticut news.
• Fill in as a producer for other NBC Connecticut newscasts when needed.
• Develop within the NBC Owned station group and learn emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of related work experience or equivalent experience.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic editing skills using non-linear editing programs.
• Strategic thinking, research, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, solve problems, make decisions, and act decisively under deadline.
• Knowledge of various media platforms and understanding of social media.
• Current awareness of news and events in Connecticut and local community news sources.
• Unrestricted work authorization in the United States is required.
• Must be willing to work onsite at the station in West Hartford, CT, including any 24x7 shift with short notice.
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
