What you will do

• Produce daily newscasts for broadcast across all platforms.
• Write and order news stories, approve scripts, and balance news and feature content.
• Write stories for websites and other eMedia platforms.
• Edit video and post video content to the website.
• Interact with viewers and users on social media.
• Time news programs and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• At least two years of experience in news operations, depending on market size.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
