Drivetrain Hydraulic Components - Design Engineer Team Lead

Location: Cienega de Flores campus, Nuevo León, Mexico; on-site, Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm; up to 20% domestic and international travel.

hirify.global develops and supports drivetrain components for hirify.global machines and OEM applications.

What you will do

• Lead a team of 2–4 drivetrain hydraulic components engineers and mentor and coordinate junior engineers.
• Create new designs for transmission valves, gear pumps, and engine oil pumps across the component lifecycle, from concept through production and maintenance.
• Analyze End of Line test data and recommend problem resolution and design improvements.
• Support hydraulic components facilities in collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and the U.S. Drivetrain Design team.
• Complete Design FMEAs and Technical Reviews, coordinate analysis activities, and establish risk-based validation plans.
• Work with suppliers and purchasing, assess production part nonconformances, resolve quality issues, and participate in APQP activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Advanced English-speaking level required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on knowledge of hydraulic component or system design and direct knowledge of casting component design.
• Proficiency in Creo modeling.
• Demonstrated application of DFMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
• Project management or leadership knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.
