Manufacturing Engineer I

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, workflows, and operating standards to improve productivity, reduce costs, and meet production capacity requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing cycle time, scrap, defects, OEE, productivity, and downtime.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions, and create process documentation, work instructions, visual aids, and operating manuals.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and product change notifications by evaluating prototypes, coordinating samples, and developing PFMEAs, Control Plans, and process flow diagrams.
• Coordinate equipment and production line transfers, support tooling design and implementation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering projects.
• Investigate customer complaints and quality issues, support MRB activities and audits, and maintain engineering standards, preventive maintenance plans, training materials, and employee development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, continuous improvement methodologies, and production optimization.
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, process flow diagrams, and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to analyze OEE, scrap, productivity, cycle time, and downtime.
• Experience supporting engineering changes, new product introductions, tooling improvements, and manufacturing process transfers.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support to production personnel; proactive approach and continuous improvement mindset.
