Senior Automation Lead Engineer (Automation/Robotics)

What you will do

• Support the design, construction, and implementation of automated equipment and tools for new and existing production processes.
• Select and collaborate with automation suppliers on equipment and systems development.
• Design automated equipment using DFM and DFA to improve manufacturing processes, product designs, and materials.
• Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives supporting production goals, safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to automation team members and lead people toward process efficiency.
• Collaborate with advanced manufacturing, local manufacturing, maintenance, and product engineers across Comfort Controls facilities, contract manufacturers, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Experience with automation and robotics.
• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing, testing, and assembly.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
• Ability to lead people, provide team guidance, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, product engineering, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
