Senior BI Consultant & Engineer (m/w/d) (Microsoft Fabric & AI Enablement)

Location: Based at the headquarters in Mannheim, Germany; mobile office and flexible working-time models are available.

What you will do

• Develop and continuously improve enterprise BI solutions, including dashboards, semantic models, and AI-powered analytics.
• Build and maintain scalable Microsoft Fabric data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics solutions with strong performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Operate and improve the Microsoft Fabric platform, including governance, monitoring, performance, and capacity management.
• Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies such as Fabric Apps, Copilot, MCP servers, and automation frameworks.
• Design AI-enabled analytics solutions for automated reporting, conversational analytics, and intelligent data agents.
• Advise countries and business units, facilitate adoption and best practices, and support knowledge sharing and community enablement.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, BI engineering, data warehousing, or related analytics technologies, with a track record of delivering end-to-end solutions.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, Python, SQL, GitHub, ETL development, modern analytics architectures, software engineering, and coding.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and facilitating workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
• Practical experience or strong interest in AI agents, AI-assisted development, MCP-based integrations, automation, and modern user experiences.
• Self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work independently, prototype ideas, and promote governance and sustainable solution design.
• Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Fluent English and basic German at B1 level or higher.

• Experience with Azure and Databricks.
