Data Governance Specialist (Data & AI)

What you will do

• Implement governance controls and enrich the data catalog through data classification, quality management, lineage, access management, and clear ownership records.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement scalable, user-friendly governance process improvements.
• Partner with data and AI engineers and business stakeholders to embed practical governance solutions into daily workflows.
• Collaborate with Governance, Risk & Compliance specialists to improve end-to-end audit trails and process transparency.
• Support management of the data catalog and governance service desk.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and enriching data catalogs using Purview, Databricks, Collibra, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of data governance principles, including data quality, classification, lineage, access management, and data ownership.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
• Analytical thinking and ability to work with structured data, identify process improvements, and explore automation opportunities.
• Confidence working in a distributed environment with both independence and collaboration across technical and business teams.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks, Purview, and the Azure ecosystem.
