Strategic Finance Associate (SaaS)

Location: United States

Base salary: $140,000–$170,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Build and maintain complex long-range financial, sensitivity, scenario, and return models for capital allocation, planning, forecasting, board presentations, and investor updates.
• Analyze cost structure, operating leverage, spend efficiency, risks, outcomes, and resource allocation priorities.
• Support M&A diligence through target valuation, return modeling, synergy assessment, and market and competitive research.
• Prepare investor presentations, earnings support packages, shareholder communications, and other external-facing analyses.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and Finance leadership on performance analysis, forecasting, and strategic projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, including direct experience building financial models for external executive and investor audiences.
• Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and value drivers in subscription-based businesses.
• Expert-level financial modeling skills, including building robust, scalable, and dynamic models from scratch.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into concise, actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial information to senior leadership and diverse audiences.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, attention to detail, accuracy, independence, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or CFA.
• In-house strategic finance experience at a SaaS or technology company.
• Experience with FP&A software such as Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, or Vena Solutions.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
