Operational Excellence & CPI Manager

Location: San Francisco or Los Angeles, California, United States; on-site leadership role supporting Line Maintenance locations.

Base pay: $102,220–$133,194 per year, plus potential bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead and manage a local portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives across assigned Line Maintenance stations.
• Partner with station leadership, Process Management Specialists, technical SMEs, analytics teams, and other stakeholders to identify constraints and implement practical improvements.
• Lead structured problem-solving for missed KPIs, productivity shortfalls, delays, repeat issues, and other Line Maintenance performance gaps.
• Translate Tech Ops and regional initiatives into local operating procedures and support effective adoption at station level.
• Establish performance tracking and sustainment plans, reporting initiative progress, risks, and operational and financial impact.
• Coach supervisors and frontline teams in Lean practices, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement routines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, equivalent continuous improvement certification, or relevant work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement, operations, or process optimization within a complex operational environment.
• Experience leading large cross-functional improvement initiatives or transformation efforts that produced measurable operational or financial impact.
• Experience using data and analytics to identify opportunities and validate results, including root-cause and structured problem-solving.
• Ability to influence and partner with frontline operational teams and station leadership, with strong business acumen and communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential job function; successful completion of the interview is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or related experience.
• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification.
• Experience in Line/Base Maintenance, Tech Ops, MRO, airline operations, or other large-scale operational environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting frontline operations.
• Experience applying Lean and Six Sigma methods, including DMAIC, value stream mapping, waste identification, and root-cause analysis.
