DBSL Operations (Continuous Improvement Leader)

Location: On-site in Boulder, Colorado, United States, with travel of 25–50% including overnight stays within the USA

Annual salary: $125,000–$170,000, plus eligible bonus/incentive pay

What you will do

• Lead deployment and maturation of hirify.global Business System fundamentals and Lean tools across Boulder and California manufacturing sites.
• Assess DBS maturity, identify gaps, and coach site leaders and teams on problem solving, accountability, and DBS principles.
• Strengthen daily management through visual management, leader standard work, and accountability routines.
• Coordinate high-impact Kaizen events and improvement initiatives while enabling operations teams to lead Kaizens independently.
• Challenge leaders to define measurable improvement commitments and sustain results.
• Connect sites with IDT, Aldevron, and hirify.global DBS resources, best practices, and peer networks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related scientific or technical discipline, plus 7+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, and/or logistics.
• At least 2 years of experience applying continuous or process improvement methodologies such as DBS, Lean, or Six Sigma in complex manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated success coaching leaders and cross-functional teams, strengthening operating rigor, driving accountability, and aligning competing priorities with business outcomes.
• Exceptional facilitation, influence, and change leadership skills, with the credibility to challenge and guide leaders across functions and levels.
• Experience executing effectively in cross-functional and matrixed teams.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to translate enterprise and site needs into clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and disciplined execution.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment and materials up to 25 lb and work in laboratory or manufacturing environments while standing or walking for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of DBS Fundamentals and CP or ACP certification in VSM, TPI, PSP, or Daily Management.
• Experience leading or facilitating Kaizens using advanced Lean tools such as IMAG, TPM, and VRK.
• Experience in biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
