Product Owner Manager (AI)

Salary: $140,350–$190,850 CAD annually

What you will do

• Lead the Product Owner organization through direct leadership, coaching, development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Define the Product Owner mandate, decision rights, competency framework, operating practices, learning pathways, playbooks, and community of practice.
• Embed fit-for-purpose SAFe and product-centric practices across strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, backlogs, planning, delivery, and outcome measurement.
• Define responsible AI use cases and workflows for research synthesis, backlog preparation, prioritization, communication, and knowledge discovery while maintaining human accountability.
• Develop and execute the organizational change strategy, including stakeholder engagement, communications, coaching, adoption measures, and reinforcement mechanisms.
• Establish capability and business-impact metrics and report progress, constraints, decisions, and outcomes to leadership.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading Product Owners, Product Managers, business analysts, agile practitioners, or comparable product-delivery roles.
• Experience defining or transforming Product Owner roles, practices, or capability models, including competency frameworks, assessments, learning pathways, coaching programs, or communities of practice.
• People leadership experience covering expectation-setting, coaching, talent development, performance management, and accountability.
• Strong understanding of product-centric operating models and the connection between strategy, discovery, prioritization, delivery, and outcomes.
• Applied experience with agile product delivery and scaled planning environments.
• Experience leading organizational change across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
• Ability to partner with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Operations, and other functions.
• Strong facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, conflict-resolution, evidence-based assessment, and ambiguity-management skills.

Nice to have

• SAFe certification or substantial applied experience in a SAFe environment.
• Product Owner/Product Manager, product management, agile coaching, Scrum, or change-management certification.
• Experience transitioning from project-centric to product-centric ways of working and scaling Product Owner or Product Management capabilities.
• Experience with organizational design, role clarification, career-path development, AI-supported product workflows, distributed organizations, and maturity measures linked to business outcomes.
