Sr. Analytics Engineer (AI)

Salary: $165,000–$185,000 USD annual base pay

What you will do

• Build and maintain dbt models in Redshift based on business needs.
• Apply software engineering practices to the transformation layer, including DRY code, meaningful tests, lineage, and documentation.
• Turn ambiguous needs from Commercial, Marketing, and Health Services into reusable data models and dashboards for analysts and AI.
• Define and govern consistent metrics through the semantic layer and support experimentation and campaign measurement.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Product, and analytics teams to understand source data and deliver analysis-ready datasets.
• Build reusable AI-driven workflows and identify data issues before they affect the business.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI, data analytics, or data modeling.
• Expert SQL and fluency with dbt, Git, and the full analytics development lifecycle.
• Software engineering discipline, including DRY code, meaningful tests, clear lineage, and documentation.
• Strong data modeling and warehousing fundamentals, including clean, well-documented tables with clear grain for analysts and AI.
• Experience building and governing metric definitions through a semantic layer with analysts, data engineers, and product teams.
• Experience turning business needs into models and dashboards used by stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience building AI-driven workflows or skills.
• Ability to operate autonomously while priorities and circumstances change.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cube, Looker, or similar semantic-layer and BI tools.
• Background in healthcare or other regulated data.
• Experience measuring marketing campaigns, experiments, or engagement.
