Staff Analytics Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, NY; hybrid schedule with 3 in-office days per week. NYC-based candidates are preferred, and relocation to the United States is welcomed.

Salary: $165K–$250K per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Design, build, and scale the data warehouse, dbt models, data pipelines, and core metrics.
• Translate complex business questions into actionable insights, predictive models, and strategic recommendations.
• Use LLMs and AI-powered tools to automate routine analysis and enable self-service data insights.
• Establish best practices for data modeling, quality, testing, governance, and analytics infrastructure.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Operations, Customer Success, and company leadership to define KPIs and influence decisions.
• Shape the long-term data strategy, tooling, and technical standards.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or BI, including ownership of complex, high-impact initiatives.
• Expert SQL skills and deep hands-on experience with dbt, data modeling, and modern cloud data warehouses.
• Strong Python skills and experience building scalable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure.
• Practical experience using LLMs or AI-powered tools to improve analytics workflows and data accessibility.
• A full-stack data mindset combining engineering fundamentals, analytical depth, and business intuition.
• Ability to independently lead ambiguous, cross-functional projects and influence technical and business decisions.
• Strong communication skills, a builder’s mindset, and enthusiasm for shaping an evolving AI-native data function.
