Analytics Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; must reside and be authorized to work in the United States, with travel to and onsite work at client, temporary, or corporate locations as business needs require.

Salary: $84,000–$126,000 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain analytics-ready facts, dimensions, data marts, and other data models.
• Develop SQL-based transformations in the semantic and transformation layers, primarily using dbt.
• Define, document, and maintain consistent metrics, business logic, and calculations across dashboards, reports, and analyses.
• Partner with product, operations, finance, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data models and metrics.
• Optimize models for clarity, usability, performance, discoverability, and self-service BI consumption.
• Implement analytics-layer testing and data quality checks while contributing to engineering standards, documentation, and source-data readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, analytics, business intelligence, or a related role.
• Advanced SQL expertise with experience building complex, maintainable transformations.
• Hands-on dbt experience.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, metrics design, and semantic-layer concepts.
• Experience supporting BI tools and downstream use cases including dashboards, reporting, and ad hoc analysis.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in healthcare-related operations and understanding of industry processes and terminology.
• Must reside and be authorized to work within the United States.

Nice to have

• Product or application engineering experience, with an understanding of how data is used in product and engineering applications.
