BIM Coordinator - ALTO Project / Cadence Group (Rail Infrastructure)

Location: Montréal, Canada; hybrid workplace. The role supports the ALTO high-speed rail project connecting Québec City and Toronto.

Reference salary range in Toronto: $70,000–$100,000 CAD annually.

What you will do

• Coordinate discipline-specific BIM models into consolidated federated models for infrastructure, rail, and transportation projects.
• Perform model coordination and clash detection, identify conflicts and inconsistencies, and communicate issues to design teams.
• Prepare, maintain, and update BIM coordination and federated models in line with project requirements, standards, and the BIM Execution Plan.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and reviews, documenting technical issues, decisions, and follow-up actions.
• Ensure the consistency, completeness, and quality of BIM deliverables throughout project phases.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, monitor model progress, and support resolution of BIM-related risks affecting cost, schedule, or quality.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction, BIM, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination for infrastructure, rail, or transportation projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM and federated models.
• Good understanding of BIM standards, LOD, model exchange formats, and BIM Execution Plan requirements.
• Proficiency with BIM coordination tools such as Revit, Civil 3D, ACC, Revizto, or equivalent.
• Experience with clash detection, model validation, and coordination reporting.
• Familiarity with collaboration platforms and common data environments.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities, a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, collaborative working style, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
