Company

hirify.global is a digital services company that partners with government agencies to build products and services for veterans, service members, children, families, and seniors.

What you will do

  • Identify operational and mission problems with program, growth, executive, security, product, design, and engineering stakeholders, then shape executable solution approaches.
  • Conduct discovery, interviews, workflow analysis, prototyping, and validation for mission-aligned solutions.
  • Design and implement architectures, code, integrations, APIs, data solutions, cloud services, AI applications, prototypes, and MVPs.
  • Build reusable platform capabilities, developer workflows, CI/CD templates, infrastructure automation, secure cloud patterns, data integration patterns, and shared technical components.
  • Apply security, privacy, access-control, auditability, transparency, human-oversight, and responsible-AI practices for prototype and MVP work.
  • Transition successful work into reusable components, reference architectures, adoption guidance, workshops, playbooks, and transition plans while mentoring engineers and delivery teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of hands-on software, data, platform, cloud, or AI engineering experience, including direct solution building and technical influence across areas such as discovery, architecture, stakeholder engagement, backlog shaping, or implementation planning.
  • Strong hands-on experience with platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, observability, identity, and secure integration patterns; working fluency in adjacent full-stack, data, AI/ML, or integration engineering as needed.
  • Experience taking ambiguous internal, program, or customer problems to working prototypes or MVPs while maintaining technical judgment, security awareness, and delivery discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder-facing, executive, technical, and written communication skills, including collaboration with government customers when needed.
  • Experience integrating systems, APIs, data sources, cloud services, LLMs, and agentic approaches in secure enterprise or government environments.
  • Experience building secure solutions handling PHI, PII, or other sensitive data, with knowledge of privacy, authorization, governance, auditability, and responsible AI.
  • Experience with cloud services, infrastructure automation, build and release pipelines, identity, observability, monitoring, environment management, data integration, and reusable platform capabilities.
  • Experience designing or operating observability practices including logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, service health indicators, and operational feedback loops.
  • Experience leading work in Agile or SAFe environments, including backlog management, technical planning, delivery coordination, and Atlassian Jira/Confluence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and reside in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Federal, DoD, or health IT experience, especially with government stakeholders, Medicare, Medicaid, healthcare, or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services environments.
  • Experience with Databricks, Palantir, MCP servers, agents, retrieval-based solutions, and governed AI workflows.
  • Forward-deployed engineering, technical consulting, solution architecture, platform engineering, or senior engineering experience translating prototypes into reusable components and transition plans.
  • Experience mentoring engineers, shaping technical standards, reviewing architectures, and improving engineering quality across teams.
  • Relevant certifications or advanced training in data platforms, cloud architecture, coding, AI/ML architecture, platform engineering, or applied AI delivery.

Culture & Benefits

  • Small, high-trust engineering environment emphasizing initiative, ownership, adaptability, sound judgment, and collaboration through ambiguity.
  • Hybrid company work environment operating within the Eastern time zone, with this role designated as fully remote and aligned to government client needs.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) retirement benefits; paid time off and holidays; life and disability insurance; and wellness and employee support programs.
  • This position is contingent upon contract award.
  • Individual contributor role with technical leadership and mentoring responsibilities, without direct people-management or companywide AI governance ownership.
