Logistics Analyst II

Location: West Greenwich, Rhode Island, US; hybrid work arrangement requiring regular presence in the West Greenwich office. Occasional travel of up to approximately 10% and periodic meetings outside normal business hours may be required.

Estimated starting compensation: $55,631–$98,467 annually.

What you will do

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments across air, ocean, and over-the-road transportation modes.
• Manage carrier selection, freight quotations, and routing decisions to meet service and cost objectives.
• Prepare bills of lading, commercial invoices, air waybills, and export-related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, Incoterms, customs requirements, and company policies.
• Track shipments, communicate status updates, and resolve delays, damages, shortages, and customs-related issues.
• Analyze transportation data, maintain KPI reporting, and identify operational improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of global shipping processes, freight management, and Incoterms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting both domestic and international transportation operations.
• Experience collaborating with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, or third-party logistics providers.
• Expertise in logistics performance reporting and KPI development.
• Exposure to trade compliance and customs processes.
• Success identifying cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
