Lead Logistics Manager (Pub Sec)

Location: Remote from Virginia, USA; role includes site visits.

Salary: $88,860–$118,480 in Colorado and $91,266–$121,688 in Virginia.

What you will do

• Lead logistics projects from planning through delivery, acceptance, and closeout for a complex federal program.
• Manage project scope, schedules, milestones, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate logistics, engineering, procurement, finance, security, transportation providers, contractors, government representatives, warehouse personnel, site teams, and customers.
• Manage secure shipping, transportation planning, shipment tracking, chain of custody, delivery, receipt, documentation, specialized handling, placement, unpacking, and White Glove services.
• Lead stakeholder meetings, status reviews, corrective actions, senior leadership reporting, and resolution of delays, discrepancies, damage claims, and provider-performance issues.
• Conduct site visits and ensure compliance with federal, contractual, transportation, safety, security, and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, and project management supporting federal, defense, or other large-scale regulated programs.
• Experience leading complex projects and logistics initiatives at the program or enterprise level.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, resources, risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
• Experience coordinating secure, sensitive, high-value, oversized, and mission-critical shipments.
• Experience managing transportation carriers, specialized delivery providers, suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional project teams.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and senior leadership briefing skills.
• Active Secret security clearance and future TS/SCI clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Project-management certification such as PMP or comparable training.
• Experience with federal acquisition, contract support, lifecycle sustainment, and operational-readiness models.
• Prior U.S. military logistics or program-management experience.
