Senior Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Maintain and expand Code Scanning language coverage by supporting new language standards and versions and adding new languages.
• Develop detection and remediation engines that identify security vulnerabilities and correctness errors in source code.
• Partner with Product and engineering teams to deliver scalable, cross-language Code Scanning capabilities.
• Unify technology and analysis capabilities to support AI-powered vulnerability detection in real time.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, technical writers, enterprise customers, and the open-source community.
• Influence product direction, technical decisions, organizational culture, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline with production software coding experience; alternatives include an Associate’s Degree plus 5+ years, Bachelor’s Degree plus 4+ years, Master’s Degree plus 2+ years, a Doctorate in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Production software experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• 3+ years in at least one of the following: software security, DevOps, CI solutions, orchestration and automation frameworks such as Temporal.io, software supply chain security, or secure coding practices.
• Alternatively, 3+ years building developer tools that automate the software lifecycle, including CI pipelines, release automation, continuous deployment, offline evaluation tools, CLI tools, or IDE extensions.
• Alternatively, 3+ years applying machine learning and AI to source-code understanding, including systems using large language models to generate or reason about code and systematic benchmarking and evaluation.

Nice to have

• Experience in two or more of the listed technical areas.
• Experience as a DevOps or DevEx engineer.
• Experience designing and running software lifecycle management and developer productivity tools.
