Information Protection Engineer - Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

What you will do

• Support the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise DLP controls across endpoint, network, cloud, email, and collaboration environments.
• Configure, maintain, and support Symantec DLP environments and enhance Zscaler DLP capabilities across network, web, and cloud traffic.
• Support the deployment and adoption of Microsoft Purview DLP.
• Develop and tune detection policies, response rules, exceptions, and workflows.
• Investigate alerts, troubleshoot platform issues, contribute to root-cause analysis, and perform upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Integrate DLP platforms with security monitoring and incident-management processes while contributing to automation, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, information protection, IT operations, or a comparable technical role.
• Practical experience with Symantec DLP or a comparable DLP platform.
• Practical experience with Zscaler DLP or related Zscaler security capabilities.
• Experience supporting security policies, controls, or platforms in an enterprise environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of data classification and information-protection principles.
• Ability to follow technical standards, analyze issues, and translate defined requirements into configurations.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Purview DLP, cloud security, SaaS environments, SIEM integration, or Microsoft 365 Security.
• Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Information Protection and sensitivity labels.
