Principal Manager IT & Non-Financial Risk

What you will do

• Shape priorities, governance and ways of working across the IT Risk and Operational Risk functions.
• Coach and develop a small team of experienced Operational and IT Risk professionals.
• Assess and challenge complex IT Risk, Operational Risk, technology change, resilience, cloud, outsourcing, data and AI-related risks.
• Advise the CRO, contribute to governance discussions and translate technical and operational weaknesses into business impact and management actions.
• Improve dashboards, management information, reporting and analytical insight to support fact-based decisions.
• Identify practical applications of analytics, automation and AI in daily risk management.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Risk, Technology Risk, Information Risk or Non-Financial Risk within banking or another highly regulated environment.
• Strong expertise in IT Risk and Technology Risk.
• Experience with Operational Risk, Operational Resilience and broader Non-Financial Risk topics.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Experience improving how teams, functions or organisations operate.
• Experience coaching and developing professionals.
• Strong understanding of how technology risks translate into business risks.
• Ability to create focus, combine strategic thinking with execution, challenge constructively and apply strong technical judgement and people skills.
