Senior Oracle Database Developer (Banking)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database solutions for critical banking systems and integrations.
• Create and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code, including procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Analyze and improve database and application performance, including production troubleshooting.
• Support integrations between banking systems and participate in deployments and releases.
• Collaborate with analysts, testers, and DBAs while preparing technical documentation and effort estimates.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as an Oracle Database Developer.
• Strong Oracle Database knowledge, including versions 12c, 19c, or 21c; advanced SQL; PL/SQL; data modeling; indexing; partitioning; Scheduler; Data Pump; and database object management.
• Experience with execution plan analysis, AWR and ASH reports, session monitoring, lock and deadlock analysis, SQL performance tuning, and PL/SQL optimization.
• Experience with REST API, SOAP, XML/XSD, JSON, Oracle AQ, message queues, ETL processes, and system-to-system integrations.
• Linux command-line work, Bash scripting, log analysis, cron jobs, process diagnostics, and SCP/SFTP transfers.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps or Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, Confluence, SQL Developer, and TOAD.
• Knowledge of Oracle privileges, roles and grants, data encryption, access auditing, GDPR compliance, and sensitive data management.
• Knowledge of transaction processing, high availability, disaster recovery, batch processing, payment systems including ELIXIR, Express ELIXIR, SEPA, and SWIFT, and core banking integrations.
