Billing System Engineer

What you will do

• Maintain and configure the Comarch BSS platform, including Product Catalog, Billing, and Billing Mediation.
• Monitor platform performance, system jobs, error logs, runtime incidents, interfaces, and integrations.
• Investigate data issues, identify root causes, and support uninterrupted end-to-end data flows.
• Support backup and recovery processes, system availability, audit controls, security, and compliance activities.
• Configure data connections and integrations, take technical ownership after implementation, and maintain technical documentation.
• Contribute to the BSS roadmap, Proofs of Concept, upgrades, patches, new functionality, and technical issue resolution.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with Comarch BSS, particularly Product Catalog, Billing, or Billing Mediation.
• At least 2 years of experience with enterprise system integrations and integration tools.
• SQL experience for data analysis, record tracing, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of billing processes, including invoicing, rating, and usage-based billing.
• Familiarity with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases and Elasticsearch.
• Practical experience with Linux, REST API testing, and Apache Kafka.
• English at B2 level or higher.
• Active use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot for log analysis, SQL query generation and optimisation, documentation, or initial issue diagnosis.

Nice to have

• Experience with CRM, ERP, data warehouses, or event-streaming solutions.
• Knowledge of Apache Cassandra and Kubernetes.
• English proficiency at C1 level.
