SQL Developer (Fintech)

Location: Kraków, Poland. Hybrid model: 3 days per week in the office, or 2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years old.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server databases and related applications.
• Design, create, modify, and troubleshoot SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures.
• Apply database change-management and deployment practices across development, test, and production environments.
• Implement data validation, error handling, transaction management, and database security controls.
• Support database management, performance tuning, optimization, unit testing, and system integration testing.
• Analyze business requirements, participate in code reviews, collaborate with distributed stakeholders, and resolve production issues.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including stored procedures, views, functions, joins, and query optimization.
• Knowledge of transactions, error handling, concurrency concepts, indexes, execution plans, statistics, and common performance bottlenecks.
• Knowledge of data modeling, normalization, constraints, and referential integrity.
• Experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Understanding of database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working as part of a geographically distributed or global team.
