Senior Mechanical Design Technical Leader (Automation)

What you will do

• Lead mechanical design across R&D and application projects.
• Lead mechanical design projects and SCRUM team delivery.
• Manage design risks, safety assessments, regulatory compliance, and CE marking.
• Oversee quality control, internal and external design reviews, project progress, and status reporting.
• Support sales with pricing input and maintain customer relationships through design and post-installation.
• Drive continuous improvement, use PDM systems, and stay current with emerging technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a senior mechanical design role within the automation industry.
• Experience with 3D CAD; SolidWorks is preferred.
• Mechanism design and system integration skills.
• Concept development and innovation experience.
• Understanding of safety and lifecycle requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, time-management, and prioritisation skills.
• Detail-oriented, collaborative, and professional approach with a zero-defect mindset.
