Senior Project Manager (Energy)

Location: Applicants must be based in Scotland and spend 50% of the working week in the office in Lerwick, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.

Salary: £58,100–£87,100 plus car or car allowance, performance-related bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Deliver projects within the Shetland AC portfolio safely and in line with the business case.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams and framework supply chain partners, providing regular leadership on site.
• Own safety, health, wellbeing and environmental responsibilities across managed projects.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, internal processes and project governance.
• Lead contract negotiation and management, budget control, project programming and business process improvements.
• Guide and develop highly capable, motivated and organised teams.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience managing technically complex, large capital projects.
• Proven experience leading and safely delivering projects or programmes through the full lifecycle to cost, schedule and quality in transmission, construction, energy, regulated industries or wider utilities.
• Engineering, construction or project management qualification or degree, or equivalent experience.
• Sound experience negotiating, administering and managing NEC or FIDIC contracts.
• Ability to forecast and control costs and develop and manage integrated project programmes.
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of project management systems and governance for executing large projects, including industry legislation, health and safety legislation, and company policies and procedures.
