Manufacturing Engineering Specialist

Location: Onsite in Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, Jalisco, Mexico. Business travel is required at least five times per year; a valid Mexican passport and valid U.S. visa are required.

What you will do

• Optimize assembly methods, production processes, equipment, cycle times, and materials to support quality, efficiency, cost, safety, and production targets.
• Define the working phase sequence for new production processes within product cost and equipment investment budgets.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement projects according to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
• Approve internally and externally developed process designs and perform final project tests.
• Support production during process and equipment start-up by defining action plans and training maintenance and production resources.
• Evaluate new process technologies, manage testing and approval criteria, and define external provider choices.

Requirements

• Recent graduate or at least six months of professional experience, including internship experience.
• Experience with machinery and tools, including PLCs such as Siemens or Fanuc.
• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Industrial, or Mechatronic Engineering, or a Technical Vocational Degree.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge and use of AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Clear English communication skills.
• Interest in electric motors, teamwork, problem solving, and time management.
• Availability to travel for business at least five times per year, with a valid Mexican passport and valid U.S. visa.
