Software Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid

Salary: HUF 1.4M–HUF 1.8M per month

What you will do

• Develop web applications, primarily frontend, using React and TypeScript.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, testing, internal demos, and production bug investigation and resolution.
• Participate in UX design as an engineer.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated test coverage when needed.
• Use AI, mainly Claude, to improve development efficiency while retaining full ownership of delivered code and solutions.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience working as a developer in software development teams and developing web applications.
• Ability to design small software changes, such as adding a feature to a web application.
• Good knowledge of React, TypeScript, and frontend development practices.
• Experience writing automated unit, integration, or end-to-end tests.
• Basic knowledge of web application backend and cloud infrastructure, with willingness to occasionally work with Node, Java, or Kotlin on the backend.
• Comfortable using leading AI solutions for software development efficiently and responsibly.
• Fluency in English required.

Nice to have

• Experience developing web application backend or cloud infrastructure with AWS.
• Experience with accessibility, including WCAG, or design systems.
• Experience with TanStack Query, TanStack Router, React Hook Form with Zod, or i18next.
• Experience with Angular.
