Procurement Associate (Import/Export)

Location: Kunshan, Suzhou, China; hybrid working with on-site work required

What you will do

• Manage daily import and export operations across sea, air, and road transportation.
• Prepare and review shipping documents and coordinate timely submissions to forwarders and stakeholders.
• Liaise with customs authorities on inspections, inquiries, cargo packaging, labeling, specifications, composition, and compliance.
• Track shipment status and end-to-end customs declarations, escalating exceptions and driving solutions.
• Manage import/export KPIs, verify logistics costs with 3PL providers, and support on-time delivery at optimized cost.
• Maintain accurate records, handle complaints through closure, optimize processes, and collaborate with Sales, PM, QFS, CSR, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• Experience in daily import and export operations, with familiarity with sea, air, and road transportation.
• Ability to prepare and review import/export shipping documents accurately and on time.
• Familiarity with customs inspection and inquiry processes, plus strong compliance awareness.
• Ability to track end-to-end import/export shipments and declaration processes and resolve issues.
• Experience with 3PL providers, including KPI tracking and logistics cost verification.
• Proficiency with import/export or ERP systems and accurate record maintenance.
• Strong process optimization and continuous improvement mindset.
• Good communication skills, including complaint handling and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Import/export experience in the food, chemical, or FMCG industries.
• Knowledge of China customs regulations and practical clearance operations.
• Good English reading and writing skills.
