Life Sciences Localization Quality Manager

Location: Romania (Remote)

What you will do

• Align suppliers with squad requirements and coordinate resource recommendations and capacity planning with Engagement Managers and Language Services.
• Serve as the primary client contact for language quality, manage documentation, and present regular quality reports.
• Monitor supplier KPIs, including on-time delivery, task acceptance, and linguistic accuracy, escalating performance below client thresholds.
• Design and maintain quality frameworks and optimize glossaries, style guides, and translation memories.
• Lead root cause analysis, Quality Improvement Plans, and corrective and preventive actions for missed deliverables and quality issues.
• Measure quality, perform Content Type Analysis, maintain LQA SLA compliance, and improve internal and customer-facing processes.

Requirements

• Proven quality management experience in localization, language services, or vendor management in fast-paced, client-centric environments.
• Experience with quality principles and practices; Agile or Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.
• Expert knowledge of Translation Management Systems, translation memory tools, and MTPE workflows.
• Strong data literacy for analytics-based decision-making, risk mitigation, and process improvement.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills are required; multilingualism is preferred.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects independently or within a team while maintaining accountability for quality.
• Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Full-cycle supervisory experience, including hiring, training, and performance management for internal teams and external resources.
• Experience with quality management in the translation or localization industry and Life Sciences localization workflows.

• Experience in CRO-Pharma or medical devices.
• Agile or Lean Six Sigma experience.
