Contracts Attorney (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Hybrid position at the Legal Headquarters in Creve Coeur, St. Louis, Missouri; remote work may be considered for candidates outside the St. Louis commuting area. Candidates must be US Citizens or otherwise compliant with Government restrictions.

What you will do

• Review, negotiate, and manage Government subcontracts, customer contracts, third-party agreements, and vendor-supplier relationships.
• Advise customers, suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders on contractual terms, obligations, claims, requests for equitable adjustment, and disputes.
• Identify and mitigate contractual, financial, intellectual property, supply chain, and compliance risks while negotiating favorable terms.
• Support domestic preference rules, Government requirements, export controls, and supply chain compliance.
• Collaborate with Contracts, Sales, Operations, Quality, Compliance, Programs, Business Unit Management, and executive stakeholders.
• Improve processes and procedures, develop claim-avoidance strategies, and independently handle negotiations and legal matters from start to finish.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 3 years of Aerospace and Defense government contracting experience.
• Familiarity with US Department of Defense requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and prime contractor flow-downs.
• Solid understanding of contract principles, government contracting, legal terminology, and contract administration processes.
• Ability to draft and review legal documents and balance compliance requirements with strategic business objectives.
• Strong problem-solving, initiative, business judgment, interpersonal, communication, diplomacy, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work creatively, efficiently, and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team.
• Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and applicable ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements, including restrictions on access to ITAR products and related technical data.

Nice to have

• Experience advising and negotiating with prime contractors and/or federal subcontractors.
• Experience with contractual matters in a manufacturing environment.
