Security Solution Architect

What you will do

• Design and govern end-to-end security architectures aligned with Santander Group security frameworks, enterprise governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure consistent security patterns across regions and domains, collaborating with CTO Security, CISO, regional architecture teams, platform engineering, DevOps, and solution architects.
• Design authentication, authorization, federation, and IAM models using OAuth2, OIDC, SAML 2.0, JWTs, enterprise IdPs, and AWS security services.
• Lead security proofs of concept, architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
• Support cloud migration and modernization by defining secure target architectures and transition roadmaps.
• Establish reusable security patterns, blueprints, and DevSecOps practices for cross-region adoption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture with a strong focus on Security Architecture and IAM.
• Experience designing security architectures in cloud-native environments, preferably AWS, and defining IAM strategies for multi-region, hybrid-cloud, or multi-cloud environments.
• Experience aligning architectures with enterprise-wide security frameworks and working in regulated environments; financial services experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, federation, and enterprise IdP integrations.
• Experience contributing to cloud migration and modernization programs.
• Deep understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks, enterprise identity providers, federation models, Zero Trust Architecture, encryption, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, TLS, and mTLS.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS security services including IAM, KMS, WAF, Shield, Security Hub, API Gateway, and EKS.
• Ability to produce clear, structured architecture documentation and security blueprints.
• Advanced English proficiency, a bachelor's degree, strong communication and presentation skills, stakeholder management, strategic risk awareness, leadership, mentoring, and adaptability in complex regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Spanish language skills.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or SABSA.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Security Specialty certification.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud governance models, DevSecOps, and infrastructure-as-code security controls using Terraform, Ansible, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of container and Kubernetes security, and exposure to observability and security monitoring frameworks.
• Postgraduate studies or specialization in Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, or Enterprise Architecture.
