Engineer III - Network

Location: Hybrid; must reside in Arizona. Phoenix, Arizona.

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, test, analyze, implement, and document WAN, LAN, switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, NTP, and wireless infrastructure.
• Perform network maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, installations, and configuration management.
• Improve network resilience, functionality, performance, and uptime through outage analysis and collaboration with architects and developers.
• Investigate data network faults, enforce network security policies, monitor traffic, and administer firewall environments.
• Support IT governance and project assignments, provide guidance and training, and participate in an off-hours incident and upgrade on-call rotation.
• Respond to customer needs according to severity, build relationships across departments, and provide service recovery when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or four years of related work experience in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least six years of experience designing, planning, deploying, documenting, maintaining, and diagnosing switches, routing, DHCP, DNS, NTP, wireless, NGFW, ADC, WAN, IP voice and video, and copper/fiber cabling.
• Experience with network design, implementation, management, network architecture, distributed systems, interoperability, virtual networks, Linux, Windows, and mixed network integration is required within the role's technical scope.
• Q&A and a lab exercise may be required to verify the skill set.
• Participation in support on-call rotation and off-hour work for incidents, upgrades, patches, and projects is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Eight years of experience in network design, implementation, management, and healthcare, including large-scale distributed systems and network architecture modeling.
• Relevant Cisco certifications, including CCNP, CCDP, CCDE, CCIE, CCAr, or Cisco Certified Design Professional.
• Infoblox, Palo Alto, Aruba, ISC2, FLUKE, AirMagnet, Citrix, or F5 certifications.
