Network Administrator (Healthcare IT)

Location: Fully remote, U.S.-based candidates only; occasional travel to client sites may be requested. Participation in an on-call rotation is required.

What you will do

• Triage network alerts, incidents, and escalated Service Desk tickets through resolution.
• Support hirify.global and client LAN, WAN, wireless, and VoIP environments.
• Monitor network performance, analyze trends, and address potential issues before outages occur.
• Deploy equipment and configure switches and access points as part of hands-on network projects.
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, Service Desk, field teams, Systems Engineering, and Identity Management, especially during client onboarding.
• Document configuration changes, maintain process documentation, and help standardize networking processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience including network administration.
• At least 2 years of network administration experience.
• Experience or formal training in LAN, WAN, wireless, and VoIP technologies and architecture, including network operating systems, network management platforms, and application-layer protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for business and technical audiences.
• Strong time and task management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with clients, peers, managers, and other stakeholders.
• Professionalism, accountability, sound judgment, confidence in client-facing situations, and a self-directed approach.
• Ability to learn quickly, take ownership of assigned work, and stay current on networking technologies, infrastructure best practices, and emerging security risks.

Nice to have

• Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or another advanced networking certification.
• Experience in healthcare, managed services, or an information technology services organization.
