Company

hirify.global develops the Terran R reusable rocket, launch infrastructure, and manufacturing systems for delivering customer payloads to orbit.

What you will do

  • Own major mechanized assemblies and child components from design release through testing and integration onto the Terran R launch vehicle.
  • Develop build and test flows, assembly sequencing, mBOMs, work orders, specifications, processes, tooling, and technician training.
  • Support workcenter development, including assembly and test operations, safety, tooling, capital equipment, and factory-floor optimization.
  • Provide hands-on shop-floor support and upstream design-for-manufacturability feedback.
  • Analyze recurring manufacturing discrepancies and lead cross-functional root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
  • Mentor manufacturing engineers and improve production efficiency through critical and creative problem-solving.

Requirements

  • BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering and 2+ years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience developing processes and authoring work instructions and/or test procedures for interdisciplinary mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies.
  • Experience working with design engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, planning, and production personnel.
  • Extensive experience leading, executing, and managing large-scope process and/or quality improvements.
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Knowledge of at least two of the following: fastening and torquing, pneumatic or electromechanical assembly, electrical or pneumatic testing, tooling design and fabrication, potting, grease plating, harness manufacturing, or machining complex products such as gears.

Nice to have

  • Successful aerospace hardware new product introduction and transition from prototype to high-volume production.
  • Working knowledge of rocket subsystems, including structures, mechanisms, high-pressure gas systems, and/or avionics.
  • Expert understanding of GD&T and drafting principles.
  • Experience with capacity analysis, DFMEA/PFMEA, and value stream mapping.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work alongside design, supply chain, test, production, vehicle integration, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Autonomy, ownership, and participation in developing the vehicle, factory, and business.
  • Competitive salary and equity.
  • Generous PTO and sick leave, parental leave, and an annual learning and development stipend.
  • Reasonable accommodations are available upon request.
