Create and maintain work instructions, assembly procedures, build travelers, inspection plans, and manufacturing processes.
Support proof, leak, and functional testing, including test setup, instrumentation, data collection, and post-test disposition.
Identify design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly issues and drive improvements with ECLSS Design Engineering.
Disposition nonconformances, investigate root causes, define corrective actions, and improve first-pass yield, build time, and scrap.
Design and procure tooling, fixtures, and handling hardware; track build progress, shortages, schedules, risks, and supplier manufacturing readiness.
Requirements
B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing, or electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related technical field.
At least 2 years of manufacturing experience managing a product or product line across multiple work centers or departments, involving fluid, pressurized, propulsion, or environmental control hardware in design, manufacturing, or test.
Engineer II candidates require 2–4+ years of experience; Senior Manufacturing Engineer candidates require 4–6+ years.
Hands-on fabrication, assembly, or integration experience and CAD proficiency; Siemens NX is preferred.
Ability to review designs, generate manufacturing documentation, and design assembly or test tooling.
Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones.
