Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; onsite; must be able to relocate to the office and work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for the full two-year duration.

What you will do

• Work on AAV technologies and viral vectors designed to deliver therapeutic genes to diseased cells.
• Apply molecular cloning, mutagenesis, and recombinant protein expression approaches.
• Conduct mammalian cell culture and transfection experiments.
• Develop and optimize biochemical assays.
• Characterize proteins and protein modifications using SPR, AUC, and TEM.

Requirements

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Virology, or a closely related field.
• Permanently authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment-visa sponsorship now or in the future. Candidates currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT generally do not qualify unless they have an alternative long-term status that does not require sponsorship.
• Ability to relocate to the office and work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for the full two-year program duration.
• Strong background in viral vector biology.
• Demonstrated expertise in molecular cloning, mutagenesis, and recombinant protein expression.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and transfection methods.
• Proficiency in biochemical assay development and optimization.
• Knowledge of protein modifications and their functional consequences, with experience in biophysical characterization methods including SPR, AUC, and TEM.
