Sr Engineering Manager (Private AI)

Location: USA-CA - Promontory B, United States

Annual base salary: USD 167,500–268,000, plus a discretionary annual bonus and equity awards.

hirify.global develops Private AI products and services and contributes strategically to the AI and CNCF open-source ecosystems.

What you will do

• Lead global engineering teams developing and managing Private AI components integrated with vSphere, NSX, and vSAN.
• Define and execute the upstream contribution roadmap for AI-related open-source projects.
• Own the end-to-end SDLC for Private AI projects, including production reliability, security compliance, and day-two operations for enterprise customers.
• Work with major partner companies to deliver joint products and solutions.
• Represent hirify.global technically in the AI and CNCF ecosystems.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of deep involvement in the Kubernetes ecosystem, including experience leading teams delivering Kubernetes enterprise software or solutions.
• Deep technical expertise and influential standing in Kubernetes and the broader CNCF ecosystem, demonstrated through maintainer, SIG Chair, or substantial upstream contribution experience.
• Experience managing engineering teams in distributed, global environments.
• Proven experience building or operating large-scale distributed systems, control planes, or IaaS/PaaS offerings comparable to EKS, GKE, or OpenShift.
• Minimum 15 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in management.

• Active leadership status in a CNCF graduated project.
• Experience leading cloud-native transformations in legacy enterprise environments.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
