Data Governance Platform Manager (AI)

Location: Remote in Peru, Uruguay, Mexico, or Colombia; Mexico City and Bogotá are also listed.

Base salary: $75k–$120k/year

hirify.global operates an on-demand marketplace for lawn care and outdoor services and is expanding into a one-stop platform for home services across three brands.

What you will do

• Own the data governance roadmap, prioritizing business needs and platform health across product, marketing, operations, and finance.
• Build automated monitoring for data quality, freshness, anomalies, pipeline health, and upstream schema changes.
• Develop data lineage and impact analysis from production sources through warehouse models, metrics, dashboards, and ML data.
• Administer and structure the Lightdash workspace, including permissions, certification, naming standards, query performance, and the migration from Tableau and Metabase.
• Extend the governed semantic layer and manage Segment event standards, ownership, catalog accuracy, property definitions, and drift detection.
• Govern AI data access, PII handling, retention, security reviews, and documentation; later hire and lead a Lead Analytics Engineer.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building trustworthy data systems and treating data governance as a core discipline.
• Daily use of AI tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or ChatGPT for quality checks, automation, anomaly triage, and documentation.
• Experience managing people while continuing to write SQL, debug Airflow DAGs, configure permissions, and build directly.
• Product-minded approach: translate stakeholder needs into prioritized roadmaps and make decisions without fully specified requirements.
• Automation-first quality practice focused on monitors rather than manual checklists.
• Ability to enforce standards across teams through clear rules, effective tooling, and constructive communication.
• Hands-on depth in the warehouse and pipeline layer, plus credible experience maintaining a BI tool and tracking plan at company scale.
• This is not a large-team leadership, policy-only, BI analyst, or mature-platform maintenance role; the system is still being built.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redshift, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Segment, Lightdash, Tableau, Metabase, or AI-powered observability tooling.
• Experience with data contracts, semantic layers, data lineage, event tracking governance, privacy, or AI data readiness.
