Indust Safety Hygiene Engineer Ld (EHS)

Location: In office at the BR Americana plant, Brazil

What you will do

• Serve as the facility’s primary environmental health and safety subject-matter expert.
• Lead EHS initiatives, improvement strategies, compliance activities, and plant governance processes.
• Develop methods to increase EHS engagement among salaried, hourly, workforce, and partner populations.
• Participate in the EHS Management System Steering Committee and related subcommittees.
• Report EHS metrics and KPIs accurately and on time, and establish annual plant goals aligned with regional and global objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent EHS experience supported by a recognized or planned certification.
• Experience developing EHS programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of recognized management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Experience analyzing, trending, and reporting EHS data.
• Project leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
• Local-language fluency and good English skills required.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience implementing or operating EHS programs in a large manufacturing facility with 500 or more associates.
• Experience in a labor union setting.
