Engineering Manager - GRC (AI)

Location: USA - Remote; willingness to travel up to 25% for team and corporate meetings; reliable internet access required for remote work. Remote work is available from any location within the employee's country of employment.

Salary: $129,000.00–$210,000.00 annually in the US, plus a discretionary annual bonus and Restricted Stock Units at hire.

What you will do

• Lead engineers, assign work, own delivery schedules, communicate risks, and maintain team health.
• Own a consistent issue-management lifecycle across GRC solutions, including issue and action-plan management, workflows, approvals, notifications, escalations, evidence capture, and public APIs.
• Build audit-trail, history, and evidence infrastructure that makes remediation status trustworthy and defensible.
• Shape domain direction with Product and UX leaders, define integration contracts, plan objectives, and represent resourcing needs.
• Build AI-assisted workflows with manual paths, explainable and traceable outputs, human accountability, and quality controls for AI-generated code and content.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, assess performance, support career development, and resolve conflicts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, or equivalent experience instead of a degree.
• 3+ years of direct engineering management experience, including supervision of supervisors and/or individual contributors.
• Ability to manage complex projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a high-compliance environment.
• Experience with career development, performance coaching, and building team culture.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, including facilitating difficult discussions.
• Solid grounding in SDLC, computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for team and corporate meetings and reliable internet access for remote work.

Nice to have

• Experience in GRC, compliance, audit, risk management, or another high-compliance, high-stakes product domain.
• Experience building shared platform capabilities used by multiple product teams.
• Experience with workflow, state-machine, or case-management systems.
• Experience evaluating engineering output in an AI-augmented environment.
• Experience with automated testing or SDLC process improvement.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
