Mutual Fund Financial Reporting Director

Location: Hybrid in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; other location: Boston, Massachusetts

Base salary: $107,500–$169,200 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead financial and regulatory reporting, including shareholder reports, financial statements, and regulatory filings.
• Oversee reporting governance, accounting policies, internal controls, audit readiness, and service-provider relationships.
• Partner with Legal, Tax, Internal Audit, Product Management, Fund Administration, and service providers on products, regulations, and strategic initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership on complex accounting matters, reporting interpretations, disclosure requirements, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.
• Drive process optimization, automation, scalable operating practices, reporting quality, risk management, and operational excellence.
• Coach and develop staff while fostering technical excellence, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience leading reporting and regulatory functions across investment products, including mutual funds, ETFs, 529 plans, separate accounts, private or hedge funds, and collective investment trusts.
• Knowledge of GAAP, SEC requirements, financial reporting, technical accounting, controls, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to lead reporting issue resolution, control monitoring and testing, service-provider oversight, and implementation of reporting solutions.
